I do my best work inside clear structure — a sharp deadline, a shared understanding of why we're doing the thing, and room to do it.
Give me the reasoning behind a decision and I'll carry it into the work; hand me the task without the why and something in me stalls.
Quiet is my default mode, and I know it can read as disengagement when it isn't — I'm usually just processing. The same is true with feedback: put it in writing and give me some time to sit with it, and you'll get a much more considered response than if you catch me on the spot.
I like to learn by doing, usually with something to listen to or read alongside the doing. Lately I'm paying more attention to keeping the people around me in the loop — the updates I'd historically save for when I had something finished.
